About the Piece:
There’s no escaping the true reality of what lies in front of us. Mega fires and extreme snow storms are taking lives and forcing us to make incredibly hard choices. These natural disasters are exacerbated by our efforts to maintain our convenient lives. We are constantly being forced to see that we are not in control, and nature is our immediate, omnipresent force that affects our day to day lives. •
Australia is my second home, and right now they’re in trouble. In New South Wales, there is a mega fire raging through farmland and forests. More than 2.1 million hectares (5.1 million acres) have been scorched. The Australian Koala Foundation has confirmed that, with only 80,000 members of the species left in the wild there isn't enough to support a new generation. They've declared the marsupial 'functionally extinct' which means the population has dropped so low it no longer has any effect on its surrounding environment. •
It’s heartbreaking to see the places that I explored are burnt to a crisp! This poster depicts the view from the top of Mount Warning in Wollumbin National Park. The vast openness and lush, green landscape caught my eye and made me fall in love with Australia’s wilderness. It makes me sad that no one can enjoy a view like this for years to come! •
With all that said, I’m selling this piece as posters/postcards in various sizes and donating a percentage of the profits to the NSW Rural Fire Service. They rely on volunteers and donations to help aid their efforts to control natural disasters, and I hope I can help in the only way that I know how, through art! •
WHEN DO I SHIP PRINTS
- Giclee Print orders are completed in the order that they are received.
- Once you have placed an order we will try our best to dispatch the prints as soon as we can but please allow up to 3 weeks for prints to be made and shipped.
- Please allow up to 2 week for deliveries in the US and up to 3 - 4 weeks for international orders.
- When dispatched, you will receive an email with your shipping tracking number.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Please note that international orders may be subject to duty/customs taxes and/or fees. These vary per country and are the buyer's responsibility. Your package is sent with the required customs form label. This will include the contents and purchase price of your item(s).
REFUNDS & RETURNS
Giclee prints are non-refundable. Once you have purchased a print the order may not be cancelled. If there is damage to the order apon arrival please send photo's to > landseastudios@gmail.com < to be reviewed - all orders are carefully packaged and sent with love.
I'm proud to say that all orders use plastic free packaging. To help the environment either recycle or reuse the packaging and help make all our fish friends happy!
